MARYFIELD

Centrally located just 200km south of Katherine, and encompassing the newly opened Export and Abattoir Preparation Facility, Maryfield Station is the jewel in North Star Pastorals crown.

The 140,000 hectare property has flat terrain and rich soil conditions and has benefitted greatly from North Star Pastorals Pasture Development Program, now boasting robust, drought resilient grasses and legumes. The establishment of these improved pastures at Maryfield enables increased carrying capacity and average animal weights, leading to improved calving rates and breeder condition. Recently, North Star commenced work on the first of six planned centre pivots which will supply high-value fodder for the Export and Abattoir Preparation Facility and cattle finishing processes.

With the establishment of a number of new solar bores, hundreds of km of new fencing and the addition of a number of new buildings, Maryfield Station has seen huge improvements in efficiency, safety and comfort over the past decade.
